Evolution of Design Concepts
Our initial idea was to integrate our product with a smart phone case for easy access and convenience. However, we encountered a few obstacles such as: bulkiness, potential increase in price of manufacturing, and potential risk of damage to the phone.

Prototype Iteration #1: Phone Case
Prototype Iteration #2: Attachable Self-defense product
To mitigate issues from prototype iteration #1, our team decided to create our product with a detachable design. This way, users have the ability to use our 3-in-1 self defense gadget attached or detached to their phone. The product would also be less bulky and prevents damage to one's phone.
Final Design Concept
After receiving positive feedback from our user testing, our finalized design consists of a 3-in-1 detachable product that can easy slide on and off a smart phone case. To sketch and 3D print our final design, we used SolidWorks.
Figure 1.1 and Figure 1.2 shows the placement of each button: Taser (slide up/down button), Pepper Spray (press button), Emergency Contact button (press button), and Safety Lock (slide up/down button). Carefully choosing the location and type for each button makes our final design intuitive and universal.
